Why I Created Recruit IQ?
I was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah, and volleyball has been a central part of my life since I was young. After graduating high school, I went on to play college volleyball at multiple levels across the country, which gave me a unique perspective on the recruiting process. Eventually, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be closer to family and pursue my career in marketing. But my true passion has always been helping athletes chase the same dreams I once had.
In 2025, I launched RecruitIQ to combine my love for volleyball, coaching, and mentoring athletes with my own recruiting experience. I know first-hand how overwhelming the process can feel, and I wanted to create a service that makes things simple, personal, and achievable for every athlete and their family.
College Volleyball Experience
After graduating high school in 2018, I began my career at the NJCAA level at Laramie County Community College in Wyoming. My first year, my team placed 8th at nationals, and my second year I led the conference in kills, kills per set, and aces—breaking multiple school records. I was later inducted into the LCCC Hall of Fame for my two years there.
I then walked on at UNLV to compete at the NCAA Division I level in the Mountain West Conference. Later, I transferred to Lewis-Clark State College to finish my career, where I again led my conference in kills and aces.
Having played at JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA Division I levels, I’ve experienced first-hand the different opportunities each level offers. That’s why I emphasize that every athlete has a place to play if they’re willing to be flexible and put in the work.
Coaching Experience
After finishing my career, I shifted my passion for playing into a passion for coaching. Over the past four years, I’ve coached both club and high school athletes and currently coach at Top Flight Volleyball Academy in Las Vegas.
What I love most about coaching is watching athletes set goals, put in the work, and experience the happiness that comes with achieving them. With RecruitIQ, I get to take that joy even further by using my knowledge and experience to guide athletes through the recruiting process and help them turn their dreams into reality.
